Greater Shepparton

The AuSAE National President and CEO of the Mathematical Association of Victoria Mr Simon Pryor will host this years President Tour and invites senior executives to join him to one of Australia’s exciting regions
The purpose of this tour is to create an opportunity for Association Executives to relax and network amongst their peers at the same time tour a destination of interest.
This year our destination is the Greater Shepparton region.
Shepparton is the major retail and service centre for Northern Victorian and southern New South Wales serving a population of more than 160,000 people. Its quality services, amenities and infrastructure ensure that all visitor needs are satisfied.
You will be collected from Melbourne on Sunday 26th of October at 10am and transported to Shepparton in a unique and exciting style – your regional tour has begun…
Country Comfort Shepparton is the region’s premier functions and events venue and will be your first point of call. Here you will be booked into Courtyard Suites for your overnight stay and prepare for the next leg of your Shepparton experience.
You will then board a coach and be taken to “The Connection”, where you will savor flavours of the region with lunch being prepared by yourselves working alongside Master Chefs. A gastronomic experience will be had whilst you sit and enjoy your gourmet fair.
During Lunch you will be addressed by the President Pryor who will formally welcome all participants.
After lunch, we will either take in 9 holes of Golf at one of the championship golf courses, climb the Rock Wall or take up other options whi9ch are still being planned.
Your afternoon can then come to a close with a trip to one of our Day Spa’s or have a swim at Aquamoves, our Aquatic Centre.
Returning to your accommodation, you will be given the chance to relax before again meeting for Dinner.
Dinner will be served in a private dining area at the Country Comfort Shepparton. Their Executive Chef will present “Foods of our Region” with local wines being served to compliment each dish before you retire for the evening. Followed by an evening of fun, hosted by the Vic Committee and National President
Monday will commence with Breakfast at the GinJar Restaurant with a Full Buffet catering for all tastes. We will have a guided tour of this property after breakfast before checking out and boarding the coach to start various places of interest and of course site inspections throughout Greater Shepparton .
Your first venue is Eastbank, our major Convention Centre. Spacious, modern, flexible ‘one stop’ venue for all your meeting, function and conference needs. The temping aroma of fresh coffee and fine café foods will encourage you to linger, with morning tea at Eastbank Café, sampling our fine cuisine whist browsing the art work in the foyer of our venue.
Back onto the coach for further touring of the regions Conference & Events facilities before heading to one of our regions wineries for lunch.
We then return to Melbourne in time to attend the Conference Dinner being held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
This is promising to be an relaxing but exciting opportunity to meet and network with your peers before the big event on the 28th of October
Conditions:
The event is for a maximum of 20 attendees and must be leaders or part of the leadership team of an association or not for profit organisation.
