AuSAE 2009 National Third Sector Leaders’ Symposium

Running parallel to the Meeting Mart tradeshow the AuSAE Third Sector Leaders Forum is designed for CEO’s and senior executives working within the association sector.

Following the success of discussions with Mr Lindsay Tanner at AuSAE’s 2008 Symposium, the 2009 Symposium is seen as a remarkable opportunity for senior executives within the third sector to meet and discuss the key topics most pertinent to the industry.

Dr Robert Fitzgerald the Commissioner of the Australian Productivity Commission, who has been undertaking the study into the contribution of the third sector to Australian society – will be addressing all participants. This is planned to be an interactive session.

AuSAE has put together a stimulating day in which you will also hear about, and participate in:

  • Recent case studies in legal matters affecting small to medium not-for-profit associations in Australia. How to avoid the same mistakes.
  • Learn a new and simple Strategic Management Model. The simplest of tools that can focus your Board on what’s important.
  • Hear a brief report on the 2009 NFP Remuneration Survey in the NFP sector.
  • Join a leadership workshop on personality types on your Board and how to communicate with them. What is your colour?
  • Know and understand the 45 competencies of the accredited Association Manager – how do you rate?
  • Find out whether or not you need to be participating in new technology, or is it just for home use.

This will be a stimulating day and not to be missed.
